Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 2nd Shift Loader / Blaster Operator, working from 3:30pm to 4:00am. In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in preparing and finishing coated materials, ensuring they meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. You'll operate various equipment, including forklifts, spray guns, and cranes, to handle materials efficiently and safely. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in industrial painting, coating, and fabrication within a fast-paced environment that values precision and teamwork. Duties Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load, unload, and position materials safely within the production area. Prepare surfaces for coating through construction painting surface preparation techniques and use hand tools for finishing tasks. Apply coatings using spray guns such as airless paint sprayers, conventional spray equipment, or hand tools to achieve high-quality finishes. Ensure all work complies with quality standards in production by conducting visual color comparisons and inspecting finished surfaces. Interpret production documents and work instructions accurately to meet specifications and deadlines. Handle materials with care using proper materials handling procedures while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and tools to promote a safe and efficient workspace. Qualifications Prior experience operating forklifts, cranes, or power tools within a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred. Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including powder coating, auto body repair, or construction painting is advantageous. Familiarity with quality standards in production environments and the ability to interpret technical documents is essential. Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thickness or material quantities. Demonstrated adherence to PPE use including respirators, respiratory protection gear, safety protocols, and proper handling of coating materials. Experience with machining, welding, fabrication, or auto painting will be considered a plus. Ability to work efficiently on the 2nd shift schedule from early evening through early morning hours in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
