Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and ensuring seamless integration into our warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help maintain optimal stock levels, support order fulfillment, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Duties:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks or delivery vehicles.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Record discrepancies and initiate claims for damaged or missing items.
- Enter received items into inventory management systems.
- Stock shelves and rotate inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
Shipping & Inventory Support:
- Assist with packaging and labeling outgoing shipments.
- Perform cycle counts and support inventory audits.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding deliveries and issues.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Customer Interaction (if applicable):
- Assist walk-in customers with order pickups or inquiries.
- Provide responsive service and maintain positive relationships.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year experience in warehouse or receiving roles preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise.
