You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS OF THE POSITION
While maintaining a safe driving and work environment, operate a sit-down (counterbalanced) forklift (including clamp truck) to load and unload material, provide material to presses and other manufacturing locations, and take-away finished product and work-in-process. Transport/dump waste hoppers and destroy (shred) rejected product according to established procedures. Use manual material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks to move material. Maintain inventory levels, use a barcode scanner and enter information in the computer system ("Seradex" ERP System) to receive/transfer paper and work-in-process material from vendors and between company locations. Ensure completion of all required paperwork, forms, etc. to document materials movement, destruction, etc. Use a Quality Management System ("Intelex" QMS) computer to document defective material and other non-conformances. Inspect forklift on a daily basis to ensure safe operation and notify supervisor of defects Maintain inventory of solvents and press chemicals in the flammable ("chemical") shed. Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
High School Diploma or equivalent "Clean" driving record Must have computer experience Minimum three (3) years' experience operating sit-down, counter-balanced forklift, clamp truck and stand-up "reach" truck. Good visual acuity and colour vision Ability to drive, walk, stand or bend for 10-12 hours. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work on any shift (day or night and 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts) Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safet
