General Laborer Location:
Burlington, NC Pay Range:
$16-$18 per hour ( with opportunity for increase upon successful completion of temporary contract and demonstration of ability ) About Our client specializes in providing high-quality machining and fabrication services with a focus on precision, reliability, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and become a valuable part of their production team. Position Overview We are seeking a General Laborer to join our clients team in Burlington, NC. This individual will start by learning and supporting operations within a small production cell and, over time, grow into the go-to person for that area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and interested in developing long-term skills within machining and fabrication. Responsibilities Assist in day-to-day operations within a designated production cell. Perform basic labor tasks such as material handling, machine loading/unloading, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Learn and follow established processes and safety protocols. Support skilled operators and technicians in machining and fabrication tasks. Progressively take on greater responsibility with the goal of becoming the primary operator for the assigned cell. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous general labor or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required—training will be provided. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Compensation & Growth Starting pay: $16-$18 per hour , depending on experience. Opportunity for a pay increase upon successful completion of the temporary contract and proven ability in the role.
