Job Description

Job Summary The Frame Material Handler is responsible for supporting the frame production area by safely and efficiently moving, staging, and supplying raw materials, components, and frames to the appropriate workstations. This role ensures the frame floor remains stocked, organized, and operating smoothly to support daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards. Essential Job Duties Moves frame materials, components, and finished frames between storage areas and the production floor Stages materials and frames according to production schedules and work orders Unloads inbound materials and properly stocks them in designated locations with accurate labeling Ensures continuous material flow to frame builders to minimize production delays Operates material‑handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed) Verifies materials and components for accuracy and quality before issuing to production Removes scrap and excess materials from the frame floor to maintain a clean and safe work environment Supports inventory accuracy through basic counts and reporting discrepancies Assists other production areas as needed based on workload and staffing needs Follows all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to read work orders and follow production instructions Basic math skills and inventory awareness Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Manufacturing, warehouse, or material‑handling experience preferred Forklift or pallet jack experience a plus (training available) Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required by production (team lifting when appropriate) Ability to work in a production environment with noise, dust, and moving equipment Safety All employees are expected to always act in a safe manner and ensure that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk. This position operates in a frame manufacturing environment where indoor furniture components are produced. The environment may include exposure to wood dust, noise from machinery, and the use of hand tools and industrial equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust masks are provided and required in designated areas.
