We are a growing IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and secure data destruction startup based in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Serving corporate clients across the Research Triangle, we specialize in certified data sanitization, secure logistics, electronics processing, and sustainable e-waste recycling. We are seeking a detail-oriented ITAD Operations & Data Destruction Warehouse Technician to manage incoming enterprise IT equipment, drive physical and logical data destruction processes, and maintain strict chain-of-custody standards.

Key Responsibilities Data Sanitization & Destruction:

Operate degaussers, drive shredders, and software-based data wiping tools (e.g., Wipe OS, Blancco, KillDisk) in compliance with

NIST 800-88

standards.

Receiving & Serial Tracking:

Unload incoming shipments, log asset serial numbers, and verify manifest accuracy for enterprise hardware (servers, networking gear, laptops, storage arrays).

Hardware Sorting & Testing:

Perform basic hardware triage, triage working components for resale/refurbishment, and separate materials for responsible e-waste processing.

Chain-of-Custody Compliance:

Maintain strict inventory logs and record sanitization validation to generate Certificates of Destruction for enterprise clients.

Warehouse & Logistics Support:

Package out-bound freight, operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks), and keep processing areas secured and organized.

What We Are Looking For Experience:

1+ years in ITAD, e-waste processing, IT bench tech, or computer repair/warehouse operations.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with PC/server hardware components (SATA, SAS, NVMe, RAM, motherboard testing) and basic software/OS interfaces.

Data Security Mindset:

High integrity with an uncompromising commitment to security protocols and process compliance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift server chassis, storage racks, and equipment containers up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk throughout an industrial warehouse space. Certifications (Bonus): Prior exposure to R2, e-Stewards, or

NAID AAA
