Job Description

Summary Job Description This position is responsible for operating scanning tools to stage and load product into trailers and drive the straight truck 2 - 3 days a week. Essential Duties Manually loads and unloads shipments of furniture and related products to/from truck trailers Uses scanner tool to stage product in warehouse and on trucks Uses hand trucks and forklifts to transport items through the shipping or receiving area Drive the straight truck to pick up or deliver items up to 3 days a week Required to read and understand ship documents Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties as assigned Position Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience is preferred Valid driver's license and good driving record Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to pass and maintain a DOT physical examination and possess a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) as required for operation of company vehicles. Must be able to walk and stand continuously throughout shift; sitting, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting as needed Must be able to frequently push, pull, grasp and use foot to operate controls Must be able to work in noisy environments Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance
