Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist II will receive, unload, inspect, identify, store, stage, issue, package, label, and ship material.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
Will verify material against bills of lading, purchase orders, DD Form 1149s, DD Form 1348-1As, NSNs, NIINs, part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities Identify shortages, overages, damage, deterioration, and incorrect material Update GCSS-MC and warehouse accountability records Maintain locator files, issue documentation, inventory records, and supporting documentation Conduct physical inventories, location surveys, recounts, and discrepancy research Pull and stage material for customers, shipment, repair, return, or disposal Support excess and obsolete property processing through DLA Disposition Services Load and unload trucks Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment Assist with shelving assembly, warehouse setup, relocation, and reconfiguration Staff the material-issue point and assist customers Escort delivery vehicles when required Comply with safety, security, PPE, and property-accountability requirements May perform other duties as needed
Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments Good written and verbal communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of warehouse, supply, inventory, logistics, or material-handling experience Warehouse, supply, inventory, logistics, or material-handling experience DoD or military supply experience preferred Familiarity with NSNs, NIINs, serial-number control, and military shipping documentation Ability to lift, move, palletize, and handle warehouse material safely Forklift license or ability to obtain one before operating equipment Valid driver's license when assigned vehicle duties
Clearance Requirement:
Public Trust clearance is required. Personnel may also be required to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC), installation access, and successfully complete a background investigation and suitability determination, as applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree preferred GCSS-MC experience strongly preferred Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $19.24 to $26.45 per hour.
