Restoration Technician / General Laborer Carolina Disaster Mitigation and Restoration Leland, NC Job Details Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Paid training On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Customer communication Driver's License Full Job Description Job Summary Carolina Disaster Mitigation & Restoration is a growing, faith-based restoration company looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our team. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to work hard, get dirty, learn new skills, and take on more responsibility as the company grows. This is a hands-on position involving water damage, mold remediation, fire and smoke damage, storm damage, demolition, cleanup, equipment setup, and general restoration/construction work. Previous restoration experience is not required. Construction, trade, maintenance, or other hands-on experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person. More than anything, we're looking for someone who shows up, works hard, learns quickly, takes initiative, treats customers with respect, and can be trusted to get the job done. For the right person, there is significant opportunity to grow with the company and eventually take on more responsibility in the field and on job sites. Duties Assist with water damage mitigation and structural drying Assist with mold remediation, fire/smoke cleanup, storm damage, and other restoration projects Perform demolition and removal of damaged building materials when necessary Set up, move, monitor, clean, and maintain restoration equipment Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials Work in crawl spaces, attics, and properties affected by water, mold, fire, smoke, sewage, and other damage Assist with general repairs and construction-related tasks Keep job sites, company vehicles, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized Safely operate hand and power tools Follow safety procedures and properly use required PPE Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners and customers Assist with whatever is needed to keep jobs moving efficiently Respond to occasional after-hours emergency calls when needed Occasionally travel for out-of-town projects Most work is in the Leland/Wilmington area and surrounding communities, although occasional travel may be required. Requirements Valid driver's license Acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check Ability to comply with company drug-free workplace requirements Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and perform physical labor for extended periods Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and damaged properties Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, or emergency calls Willingness to occasionally travel for out-of-town projects Experience Restoration experience is not required . Experience in construction, trades, maintenance, demolition, landscaping, warehouse work, mechanical work, or another hands-on field is a plus. We're willing to train someone who demonstrates reliability, a strong work ethic, good judgment, and a genuine desire to learn. This is a full-time position, generally around 40 hours per week, with potential overtime depending on workload. Hours may fluctuate because restoration is an emergency-response industry. We're looking for someone who wants more than just another job—we want someone who is interested in learning the business, developing valuable skills, and growing with our company.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
