Job Description

Job Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accepting, inspecting, stocking, and transferring deliveries. The position involves attention to detail, the ability to use inventory software, and strong organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
  • Operates forklifts and hand trucks as needed
  • Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck
  • Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments
  • Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accurate
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track and store incoming product
  • Reports damaged or questionable items to the supervisor and purchaser
  • Ensures the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Participates in all Inventory validation
  • Follows all safety guidelines
  • Develop and maintain Receiving Reports
  • Examines and unpack incoming shipments; record and reports shortages
  • Routes items to various departments
  • Monitors the returns process
  • Performs other assigned duties as needed Skill Set/Knowledge Required Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, as a team member and a team leader Strong oral & written communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

High School Diploma and office experience Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience working in an ERP/MRP environment
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
