Job Description
Position Summary:
Primary responsibility will be staging parts for designated area, bringing Kanban containers to the correct area, and taking completed parts to the proper location for the next operation.Key Responsibilities:
1. Transportation of materials to designated areas (manually and/or using forklift). 2. Unload and load freight. 3. Verify all items on packing slip for quantities received and backordered. 4. Inspect product for damage and document as needed. 5. Responsible for putting inventory in its designated areas in an organized and efficient manner and placing Kanban cards with product. 6. Responsible for assisting in year-end inventory procedures as needed. 7. Responsible for various yard work projects, including general clean up, as needed. 8. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management. 9. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives. 10. Other duties may be assigned.Functional & Cognitive Requirements:
- This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree.
- Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
- Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
- Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
- This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions
- Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
