We are the bathroom experts, and our business is selling and installing walk-in tubs and walk-in showers. You are on the very front lines of getting product to the customer as fast and accurately as possible. Under the direction of the Area Installation Manager, the Warehouse Associate will ensure all aspects of the daily activities at their designated warehouse is properly managed to meet the needs of the customer and of Midwest Bath. Warehouse Associates will promote dependability and accountability through proper process adherence, inventory management, and responsible communication. Our warehouses are utilized specifically for installer pick-ups that are exclusively working with Midwest Bath. Please read below for a full list of duties and expectations for this position. 6 Steps to Success - Outlining Job Functions and Responsibilities of the
Warehouse Associate:
1. Receiving Receive shipments and check and confirm packing list and product to ensure shipments accuracy and that each packages' contents match the orders. Inspect the shipment to see that there is no damage to the product. Decline-to-accept or return defective materials as necessary if damage or inaccuracies or identified (Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisor) Sign off on shipment and confirm that each shipment was received in good condition, maintain signoffs for records. Unpack shipments and move them to their appropriate location within the warehouse. Update inventory in the system. 2. Handling Move pallets and materials to their pre-determined location within the warehouse. Continually organize product and upkeep departments throughout the warehouse accordingly. Relocate any outgoing shipments to the warehouse's loading dock or pick-up bin location when appropriate. Safely operate the forklift and pallet jack within the warehouse. Ensure the forklift is in good working order and maintained as needed. Ensure the forklift is always operated safely. Ensure the forklift is parked in a safe and appropriate location when not in use. Lift product, when necessary, with your knees, not your back. 3. Stocking Organize materials and ensure they are placed in an appropriate location on the warehouse floor. Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location. Product staged correctly - pallets combined and orderly. 4. Picking/Packing Prepare each product for installer pick-up according to the job order. Prepare orders by pulling the materials accordingly for each job order per day. Retrieve the materials for the daily orders and place them in the daily jobs bin for pick-up from installers when they arrive. Ensure that nothing is removed from the warehouse that isn't pre-approved for the specific job the installers are there to collect. Nothing in, nothing out that isn't specifically on the order list. You are responsible for all product entering and exiting the warehouse, do not allow anyone to pick their own items. Coordinate delivery pick-ups as needed. 5. Warehouse Respect and enforce warehouse operational policies and procedures at all times. Maintain product and inventory records within the warehouse. Complete deliveries of replacement parts to designated job sites when needed. Ensure the warehouse has the essential equipment it needs to operate. Ensure all warehouse processes run smoothly. Understand every aspect of the warehouse. Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles. Ensuring that the receiving area is clean and organized. Prepare documentation and inventory for audits. Ensure SLA requirement of 7:30 AM (local time) is met daily. On Time - Report daily at designated time. Desk Area - Clean, organized, and functional. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Maintain inventory quality & quantity through First In/First Out stock management. Ensure the Quarterly Inventory score is at or above 99.5% for all assigned locations. Be a Safety Advocate who is responsible for maintaining an accident-free work environment in all garages. Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of work environment Ensure that the garbage/dumpster is maintained without debris outside of the dumpster in the immediate area. Ensure the warehouse is kept locked and secure when outside normal operating hours. 6. Additional Responsibilities/Competencies It is your responsibility to understand the expectations of the position. If at any point you have any questions, ask your immediate supervisor for clarification. Knowledge of supply chain operations and the importance the position plays on the overall company's success. Experience engaging with inventory management system (Service Titan a plus), to receive product in, extract and execute pick list activities, and transfer product out of the warehouse to our installer trucks, Being a team-player. Effective communication. Highly organized and extreme attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure. Customer Service skills. Motivated/Self-starter having the ability to work independently and stay on task. Stamina and ability to perform the job duties as outlined. Adherence to all safety practices and the correct use of safety gear and apparel when appropriate. Monitors and records the quality and volume of inventory accurately. Ability to store items efficiently. Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state. Proactive, ability to work independently and execute job duties with minimal supervision. Communicate with Supervisor all issues related to safety, building access, hardware and stock issues. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Counting and confirming inventory. Communicating errors to relevant parties. Ensure compliance of safety procedures and practices in warehouse operations. Managing all merchandise with appropriate care. Assisting with training of newly employed workers when determined. Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse. Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor. Maintain warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings. Lift up to 60 lbs. Push/pull 100 lbs. Stand on your feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company. Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions. Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift. Bend over multiple times throughout shift.
