Job Description
Mediterranean Restaurant Equipment (MRE) is looking for a reliable, hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Worker to join our team at our Burlington, NJ location. We specialize in new, used, and refurbished commercial restaurant equipment. This is a hands-on position that combines local deliveries, warehouse operations, equipment preparation, cleaning, assembly, and showroom staging. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in keeping equipment and the warehouse organized and presentable. Responsibilities Delivery & Transportation Deliver commercial restaurant equipment to customers throughout NJ, PA, and surrounding areas Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment Assist customers with bringing equipment into their location when required Operate a flat bed truck and/or delivery vehicle Inspect equipment for visible damage before and after transportation Load and unload trucks using proper lifting and handling techniques Assist with customer pickups and freight shipments Warehouse & Equipment Preparation Receive incoming shipments and verify equipment against packing slips Organize and maintain warehouse inventory Prepare equipment for customer deliveries and pickups Clean and prepare used restaurant equipment for resale Assemble and build new restaurant equipment Stage new and used equipment for display in the showroom Move equipment throughout the warehouse and showroom using proper handling techniques Assist with testing and basic inspection of equipment Help photograph, label, and organize equipment when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and showroom Assist with loading and unloading equipment from freight carriers Perform general warehouse, maintenance, and facility duties as needed Qualifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record Previous delivery, warehouse, moving, construction, or similar hands-on experience preferred Box truck driving experience is a plus Forklift operating experience is a plus Experience safely operating heavy duty material handling equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, Johnson bars, appliance/equipment movers, and other similar tools Ability to safely lift and move heavy commercial equipment Comfortable using basic hand and power tools Mechanically inclined and comfortable assembling equipment Ability to work on your feet and perform physical tasks throughout the day Reliable, punctual, and dependable Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Willingness to learn about commercial restaurant equipment Restaurant equipment experience is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move heavy equipment Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods Ability to safely maneuver large equipment through doorways, ramps, and tight spaces Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures Must be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
