Job Description
Job Overview Overview We are urgently seeking experienced Lumpers to join our warehouse team immediately. The Lumpers will play a vital role in efficiently loading, unloading, and organizing freight to ensure smooth warehouse operations. This position requires individuals with strong warehouse experience, capable of handling heavy materials safely and accurately. The ideal candidates will contribute to maintaining high safety standards, optimizing inventory management, and supporting overall logistics functions. This is a paid position that offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. Duties Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with order picking and materials handling to ensure timely processing of goods. Operate warehouse equipment including RF scanners, and other material handling tools safely and efficiently. Organize inventory within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and labeling for easy retrieval. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational procedures. Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related logistics roles. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, and pallet jacks. Understanding of inventory management systems and materials handling processes is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA standards for manual handling and heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, load & unload operations, and warehouse operations best practices. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards. Hours Monday through Friday 7:30 am until the job is completed This is not an hourly position. Pay is by the truck load. The more trucks you unload the more pay you receive.
