Job Description

Shore Point Distributing is a family-owned beverage distributor located in Freehold N.J. that carries an extensive line of national, regional and local craft beers. Shore Point Dist. is one of the largest beverage wholesalers in the state. We are currently seeking a full time Warehouse Clerk to join our team. This shift is Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm and Friday 11:00 am to 7 pm. Position Summary The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, quality control, and proper processing of all returning product throughout the warehouse. This position supports both the Alcohol and Non-Alcohol operations by auditing returning loads, conducting quality checks, maintaining inventory accuracy, and verifying outbound orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Returning Load Audits Verify and reconcile all product returning from delivery routes.
Audit and process:
Customer returns Product refusals Empty beer barrels (kegs) Good pickups Ensure all returned product is accurately documented and accounted for. Investigate and report discrepancies between returned product and route paperwork. Coordinate with drivers, supervisors, and warehouse personnel to resolve inventory variances. Quality Control Conduct quality control inspections on returned product. Inspect built pallets on the PM shift and Non-Alcohol side for: Accuracy of product selection Proper quantities Product condition Safe and secure pallet construction Report and document picking errors, damaged product, and quality concerns. Inventory Control Perform routine inventory counts and cycle counts within the Non-Alcohol warehouse. Assist with inventory reconciliation and variance investigations. Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse systems. Support physical inventory counts and inventory audits as required. Operational Support Check in returning drivers and verify load documentation. Ensure proper disposition of returned, damaged, or saleable product. Maintain organized work areas and accurate records. Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures. Work collaboratively with warehouse, transportation, and inventory control teams to improve accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or clerical experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and inventory reconciliations. Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanning devices preferred. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding inventory discrepancies. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods. Ability to lift and move products up to company-established weight limits. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions. Ability to climb stairs and access inventory storage locations as needed. #zr Shift is Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm and Friday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
