Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and efficient Warehouse Operator to join our logistics team. This role involves handling various warehouse activities including inventory management, order picking, and material handling, ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations.Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Receive, store, and distribute products within the warehouse, maintaining accurate inventory records.Order Picking and Processing:
Accurately pick orders for shipment and process them following company guidelines.Equipment Operation:
Safely operate warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.Loading and Unloading:
Assist in loading and unloading trucks, checking for damaged or missing items.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Quality Control:
Inspect goods for defects and damages before storing or dispatching, reporting any discrepancies.Housekeeping:
Keep the warehouse area clean and organized to ensure efficient operation and safety.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse role is preferred. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods. Experience with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) is desirable. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment. Basic computer skills for managing inventory and processing orders.Work Environment:
This role operates in a warehouse setting and may involve exposure to various conditions such as dust, noise, and varying temperatures. The position requires frequent physical activity, including moving around the warehouse, lifting, and operating equipment.Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to handle manual labor tasks, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds, bending, standing for long periods, and working in varying temperature conditions.
