Shift:

4:30pm-3am (Monday afternoon-Friday morning)

Pay:

$20-$25/hour ;

Overtime:

$30-$37.50/hour

Rutherford, NJ Job Description The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring that manufactured items are ready for shipment. This involves placing items into containers, sealing and labeling them, and preparing them for transport. Additionally, the Material Handler performs final checks for defective items, ensures all items reach the loading area or inventory, and maintains detailed records of materials and shipments. Responsibilities Weigh packages and label them appropriately. Operate sit-down forklift, when needed. Inspect packages to ensure they are not damaged. Inspect shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations. Assemble daily orders by shipping location or other shipping categories. Keep records of packages including delivery notes and invoices. Fill out packing and order forms with relevant shipping information. Seal shipping containers and label them appropriately. Clean shipping containers and other shipping supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Inventory management General labor skills Loading and unloading capabilities Shipping and receiving expertise Packaging and material handling proficiency Forklift operation Production knowledge Experience with shipping documents Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to work overtime when production demand requires it. Demonstrate good attention to detail and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Exhibit good judgment related to safety and adhere to workplace safety regulations. Basic math, computer, and keyboarding skills for working within the ERP system. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be authorized to work in the US. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rutherford, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.28 - $22.28/hr.
