Warehouse Worker Job Description Join a dynamic warehouse team where you will handle a variety of shipping, receiving, stocking, and inventory tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in keeping products organized and moving efficiently through the facility using RF scanning technology and standard material handling equipment. Responsibilities Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading, loading, and moving materials within the warehouse. Stock shelves and storage locations accurately to ensure products are easy to find and access. Sort packages and organize items by type, location, or order requirements. Pick orders and prepare them for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Pack boxes and packing orders securely to prevent damage during transit. Use RF scanners and RF scan guns to scan, label, and mark products for inventory and tracking purposes. Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, counting, and proper documentation. Handle materials using manual pallet jacks and other approved material handling equipment. Support warehouse production activities by moving, staging, and organizing products as needed. Follow established safety procedures while working in narrow aisles with forklifts and hand carts. Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient operation. Adhere to all warehouse policies, including restrictions on personal electronics in the work area. Essential Skills 06 months of related warehouse or general labor experience. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with packing boxes and packing orders. Ability to pick orders accurately and efficiently. Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Ability to stock shelves and maintain organized storage areas. Experience with sorting items and organizing products. Ability to use RF scanners or RF scan guns for scanning and inventory. Comfort operating manual pallet jacks for material handling. Basic inventory skills, including scanning and counting items. Ability to load and unload materials safely. Strong attention to detail when labeling, marking, and scanning products. Ability to follow safety guidelines and warehouse procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Warehouse experience preferred but not required. Interest in learning to operate CROWN trucks and other warehouse equipment. Willingness to complete training and certification on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality in a fast-paced operation. Work Environment This role is based in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move rapidly in clearly defined, safety-conscious directions. Personal cellphones and electronics are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain safety and focus. Temperature conditions vary with the seasons; the warehouse is heated in the winter to around 60 degrees and can be very hot in the summer, with fans and water coolers available throughout the facility. Team members should dress in light, breathable layers appropriate for changing temperatures. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, while open-toe shoes, sandals, flats, and heels are prohibited to ensure safety on the warehouse floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
