Full-time About the Opportunity An established and growing company in the specialty food & beverage industry is seeking a motivated, early-career professional to join its operations team. This is a unique hybrid role, approximately 50% warehouse operations and 50% quality and food safety administration . This is a true growth opportunity. The company will fully sponsor all training and certification required for the quality side of the role, so no prior SQF or quality experience is necessary . They're looking for someone who is intelligent, dependable, eager to learn, and excited to take on increasing responsibility. The successful candidate will begin with hands-on warehouse responsibilities while progressively taking ownership of the site's food safety documentation and compliance. The day-to-day split between warehouse and quality responsibilities is flexible and determined together with the Warehouse Manager. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations (Approximately 50%) Provide hands-on support for daily warehouse operations and serve as backup to the Warehouse Manager during absences or busy periods. Operate a forklift for receiving, put-away, picking, loading, and unloading materials. Learn and utilize the company's ERP/inventory management system to accurately process inventory transactions. Support general warehouse functions including inventory control, material handling, and order fulfillment. Quality & Food Safety (Approximately 50%) Complete company-sponsored SQF training and obtain SQF certification (target completion within approximately six months). Maintain food safety and quality documentation, including sanitation logs, chemical and cleaning supply records, and equipment records. Respond to customer requests for quality documentation, certificates, and product specifications. Independently manage recurring quality and compliance tasks on a weekly basis. Perform operational compliance checks to ensure required cleaning and handling procedures are completed and properly documented. Participate in monthly management reviews, reporting on supplier performance, customer issues, incidents, and other quality-related topics. Initially work alongside leadership before gradually assuming full ownership of the site's quality documentation and compliance program. Qualifications Warehouse and material handling experience, including forklift operation. Basic computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn a new ERP system. Strong problem-solving ability, curiosity, and willingness to learn. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Able to work independently and consistently manage recurring responsibilities. No prior SQF or quality assurance experience required—the company provides full training and certification. Compensation & Growth Starting Salary:
$60,000 The company offers a clearly defined career progression during the first year through two milestone-based increases tied to SQF certification: Stage 1: Completion of company-sponsored SQF training (approximately six months). Stage 2: Successful attainment of SQF Certification (held annually in December). After the first year, employees are eligible for: Performance-based bonus tied to role-specific KPIs.
