Job Description

division is currently seeking a Material Handler (2nd Shift) - Cable Tray at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 + .50 Shift Differential per hour.CORE HOURS
2:30PM - 11PM. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. - Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies & finished goods
- Load and unload trailers as required
- Pick and pull stock for delivery
- Organize pallet area in the backyard on regular basis
- Organize material storage location in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis
- Complete forklift inspection on a daily basis
- Oversee recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler on a daily basis, operating cardboard baler, etc.)
- Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
- Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
- Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic)Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with or without reasonable assistance.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.
- Ability to work overtime with little to no notice as necessary for customer requirements.
