Job Description

Material Handler (Starlink/Akoustis) Akoustis is now operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of SpaceX providing industry leading RF filters using patented XBAW technology to help drive the mission of making human life multi-planetary, while also connecting the world through Starlink. Our work helps further the impact that Starlink is already making on millions of users around the world, while allowing us to broaden that reach dramatically and continue connecting the unconnected here on earth. This position supports RF filter production for SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet constellation and growing defense communications portfolio. An Akoustis Material Handler ensures parts are in the right place at the right time to ensure smoot production operations of high-quality devices in a cleanroom environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support production with the movement of parts to support master schedule Physically move and expedite materials when required in support of production/engineering and meet work order completion dates Verify all materials are packaged and banded for transport, and assists with loading and unloading of trucks Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to: forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand cartsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate 1+ years of expediting/material handling experience Experience operating a forklift and pallet jackPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment Experience with barcode scanning to document material movement ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted This position is 100% onsite at our Canandaigua, NY facility Due to the facility transitioning to 24/7 operations, the work schedule for this position will evolve after training: You will start with standard daytime hours during training: 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM (Monday
- Friday)
C-Shift:
7:00 PM- 7:00 AM (Sunday
- Tuesday and every other Wednesday)
- eligible for 15% shift differential
D-Shift:
7:00 PM- 7:00 AM (Thursday
- Saturday and every other Wednesday)
- eligible for 15% shift differential
