Job Description

Long Island manufacturing company, is seeking a Receiving Warehouse Associate. Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate and become a vital part of our fast-paced logistics operation! The successful candidate must have strong Receiving experience and able to cross train in all areas of the Warehouse (picking/packing and shipping).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and unload inbound shipments Communicate with leads and mangers any daily issues Accurately enter receiving data into inventory/ERP systems Effectively communicate shortages, damages, or delays with purchasing and logistics teams Scan and verify label information prior to relabeling product Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders Scan tracking numbers from inbound shipments into daily tracker Stage and route materials to proper storage areas with tablet Follow all procedures for each department Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area Maintain safety best practices across all areas of the operation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Receiving experience, a must Good written and verbal communication skills Strong Sense of time organization and urgency Detail oriented and organized a must Inventory accuracy Time management Teamwork and communication Problem-solving Dependability and punctuality Shipping and Pick-pack experience a plus Hi-lo and Pallet Jack experience Ability to train in all areas of within Warehouse department a must ERP experience Ability to work independently and effectively Strong computer skills (Microsoft word and Excel)

Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
