Warehouse Associate Job Description We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Cheektowaga, NY. This position involves supporting shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material movement operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role is a 4-5 month contract with the potential for permanent hire. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime opportunities and voluntary Saturday shifts. Responsibilities Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and documentation. Enter receiving and inventory data into the ERP system accurately. Tag, route, relocate, and store materials with precision. Process and move inventory to production, storage, or shipping locations. Prepare, kit, stage, and deliver materials to internal departments. Verify packing lists and shipping documentation. Package products according to customer and company requirements. Respond to shipping, tracking, and freight inquiries via phone and email. Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock adjustments. Essential Skills Previous material handler experience. 2+ years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted, and up to 50 lbs as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. Effective communication skills in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience preferred. Forklift certification preferred but not required. Experience with ERP systems preferred. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Customer service experience. Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
