Queens, NY metals distributor seeking an energetic professional full-time warehouse employee.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to ensure efficient operations Picking and packing product for customer shipment while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines. Unpacking product for storage and stocking Safely operate a forklift and hand tools such as a saw or nail gun Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reconciliations Maintaining a clean and organized work environment Assist in the fabrication of products as needed Building and equipment maintenance as required

Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Familiarity with warehouse management systems Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
