Warehouse Associate (The "All-Rounder")Location:
Montgomery, NY Status:
Full-Time (40 Hours), Non-Exempt Reports to: Director of Warehouse Operations Are you ready to be the "MVP" of our operations? The Food Bank is looking for a Warehouse Associate who loves variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment. One hour you might be pulling orders in the cooler, and the next you're managing the receiving dock or organizing overhead steel racking. If you're a "Smooth Operator" on power equipment and want a role where no two days are exactly the same, we want you on our team. Your Impact (The Role): As a Warehouse Associate, you are the backbone of our daily flow. You'll support every corner of the warehouse to ensure food is collected, stored, and distributed efficiently to our neighbors in need.Key Responsibilities:
The Ultimate Flex:
Provide assistance across all warehouse areas-Distribution, Forklift, Order Selecting (Dry, Cooler, and Freezer), and the Receiving Dock.Pallet Perfection:
Safely build, wrap, strap, and label pallets for delivery. You ensure every load is "Locked In" and safe for transport.Inventory Stewardship:
Drop and reserve pallets from overhead steel racking and replenish picking locations so the team never misses a beat.DataAccuracy:
Prepare accurate receiving records for food donations-because every pound counts toward our mission.Warehouse Pride:
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and assist with the physical inventory process to keep our "Aura" professional and organized.Safety First:
Inspect power equipment daily and follow all safety protocols to the letter. No shortcuts when it comes to our crew's safety.Who You Are:
Qualified:
You are 18+ years old.The Flexible Pro:
You have the "Aura" of a true team player-you're comfortable switching tasks mid-shift and working wherever the mission needs you most.Skilled:
You have experience with power equipment (or the drive to obtain and maintain your certification with us!).Mission-Driven:
you work independently and collaboratively because you know your work directly fights hunger in our community.Physical Requirements:
This is a high-energy, athletic role.You should be comfortable with:
Lifting up to 80 pounds solo without assistance.Staying active:
extended periods of standing, bending, pulling, and reaching.The Elements:
Working in a warehouse setting with exposure to extreme temperatures (from "Hot Tamale" summer heat to "Iced Coffee" freezer chills).On-Site Energy:
