Job Description
Job Overview L.G. White Safety Corporation is a small, family-owned business in Schenectady, NY that designs and installs personal fall protection systems for large manufacturing facilities and government agencies across the Northeast. We also fabricate custom work platforms, conduct fall protection inspections, and teach safety training. We're hiring a part-time installer to help in our fabrication shop and on job-site installations. No fall protection experience required — we train you. This is hands-on work with a small crew, and it's a good fit for someone with a trades background, or someone reliable and mechanically inclined who wants to learn one. Duties Assist with on-site installation of fall protection systems, including horizontal lifelines, guardrails, and roof and structural anchors Assist with shop fabrication of custom work platforms, rolling stairs, and guardrail assemblies Measure, cut, drill, and assemble steel and aluminum components using hand and power tools Load, transport, and stage materials and equipment at job sites Follow all site safety rules and use fall protection equipment as directed by the competent person Requirements Comfortable working at heights (roofs, lifts, ladders) and wearing a harness Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet outdoors in all seasons Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites Able to conduct yourself professionally at large manufacturing facilities and government sites, and pass client background checks where required 18 years or older Nice to Have (not required) Construction, roofing, ironwork, or general contracting experience Welding or metal fabrication experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Rope rescue, climbing, tower, or arborist experience
Pay:
$25.00 - $37.50 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 50.0 per weekBenefits:
