Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description This role supports daily warehouse operations by receiving and inspecting inbound shipments, accurately picking and packing customer orders, and preparing products for shipment. You will help maintain organized inventory, operate basic warehouse equipment, and uphold a clean and safe work environment while working closely with a small, collaborative team. Responsibilities Receive and inspect inbound shipments by unloading trucks, verifying quantities against documentation, checking for damage, and accurately processing inventory into the warehouse system. Pick items for customer orders using order sheets or handheld RF scanners, ensuring accuracy in item selection, quantities, and locations. Pack and prepare orders for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials, labeling boxes correctly, and following carrier and shipping requirements. Assist with inventory management by supporting regular cycle counts, rotating stock, and keeping storage areas clearly labeled and organized. Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other basic warehouse tools safely and efficiently after receiving proper training. Perform general warehouse support tasks, including maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workspace in all aisles, workstations, and storage areas. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use, and promptly report any hazards or incidents. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks, meet daily productivity goals, and support smooth warehouse operations. Use handheld scanners, tablets, or basic warehouse software to track inventory movements, confirm picks, and update order status. Essential Skills Proven attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment. Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Strong team collaboration skills, including clear communication, reliability, and willingness to assist others in a small warehouse team. Comfort using basic technology such as handheld RF scanners, tablets, or simple warehouse software systems. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse tools with provided training. Willingness to adhere strictly to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, or general labor experience is helpful but not required. Experience with order picking, packing, and shipping processes is an asset. Familiarity with RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking is beneficial. Background in material handling, loading, and pallet jack operation is a plus. Experience with inventory control activities such as cycle counting and stock rotation is advantageous. Why Work Here? The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive motions, and working at a steady pace to meet daily shipping and receiving goals. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and safety, with clear procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe workspace. Work attire typically includes comfortable clothing suitable for physical tasks and closed-toe, safety-appropriate footwear. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Victor, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
