A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE WITH A CLEAR DRIVING RECORD IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
First Shift Position General Purpose:
The Material Handler / Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely and efficiently handling raw materials and finished goods between the manufacturing plant and offsite warehouses. This role ensures production areas are stocked with materials, finished products are correctly labeled and shipped, and all warehouse operations are performed in compliance with Sun America's quality and safety standards. This position also operates the company box truck to transport materials to and from each worksite, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and delivery of customer orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Handling & Warehouse Operations Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are properly secured and protected during transport. Use company box truck to move raw materials and finished products between manufacturing and offsite warehouses. Work directly with customers during scheduled pick-up and delivery appointments to ensure timely service. Keep raw materials stocked at production lines and remove finished goods, scrap, or unused materials as needed. Wrap, label, and stage finished pallets for shipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Assist in cycle counts, daily inventory updates, and quarterly physical inventory counts. Correctly enter product movements and transactions into the ERP system. Shipping & Receiving Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks for safety, accuracy, and cleanliness. Verify paperwork for all shipments and deliveries is accurate and complete. Supply customer service and data entry with required shipping and receiving documentation. Ensure all received and shipped materials meet Sun America quality and safety standards. Quality Assurance Verify that all finished goods are properly labeled and meet customer and internal specifications. Ensure all pallets, packaging, and labeling materials meet Sun America quality standards. Report any quality issues, unsafe activities, or equipment malfunctions to the Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager. Communication & Coordination Coordinate with warehouse, production, and shift supervisors to ensure material flow meets production needs. Communicate promptly about any inventory shortages, delivery delays, or quality concerns. Support production and converting departments with material needs as directed. All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping/receiving roles preferred. Tow motor (forklift) experience or ability to be trained and certified. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Ability to safely operate a box truck for local deliveries (non-CDL).

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout an 8-hour shift. Regular and punctual attendance required. Ability to safely perform all essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
