Job Summary Join our dynamic body shop team as a General Laborer specializing in Sand Prep! In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our vehicle restoration process, preparing vehicles for paint and finishing by performing thorough sanding and surface prep. Your focus on safety, efficiency, and attention to detail will ensure each vehicle meets our high standards for quality and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform sanding and surface preparation on vehicles using manual tools and automotive buffers to ensure smooth, clean surfaces ready for painting or finishing. Operate standard passenger cars and light trucks safely during prep work, adhering to all safe work practices. Clean vehicle exteriors thoroughly through washing, buffing, and detailing to enhance appearance and prepare for further treatment. Assist with vehicle interior cleaning and detailing to maintain overall vehicle cleanliness and presentation. Use cleaning equipment effectively to maintain a tidy auto detailing facility, including janitorial tasks as needed. Handle heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely while following proper ergonomic practices. Support the team with general labor tasks such as organizing supplies, maintaining work areas, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Requirements Prior experience in auto detailing or auto body shop environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued. Ability to operate manual transmissions in vehicles during various prep tasks. Knowledge of vehicle paint correction techniques and automotive buffing is a plus. Familiarity with vehicle exterior washing, buffing, and overall detailing processes. Strong commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods throughout shifts. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or clients regarding vehicle condition.
