Job Title:

Warehouse Clerk (1st Shift) ($20.00/hr.) Job Description This Warehouse Clerk role combines hands-on assembly and packaging work in a small, family-owned warehouse environment. You will support the production and shipment of abrasive products by assembling components, packaging finished goods, and handling general warehouse tasks. The position runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and offers a clear path to permanent employment after an initial probationary period. We are looking for individuals to apply and start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half! Responsibilities Assemble product components using a two-part epoxy glue and hardener with tools similar to a glue gun. Accurately glue hubs and attach them to discs according to work instructions and quality standards. Operate a drill press on discs, including setting up drills, running production, and meeting daily output goals. Perform production setup by spending approximately one hour preparing drills, then hubbing all prepared components the following morning. Achieve production targets of 5,0007,000 units per day, with a goal of 2,000 units per drill. Follow a four-step process to pack wheels and ensure products are securely and correctly packaged. Label products with stickers in a repetitive packaging process, maintaining consistency and accuracy. Assist with general warehouse duties, including packing orders and preparing shipments. Construct boxes and set up the packaging area each day based on work orders and written instructions. Read, understand, and follow work orders and instructions to complete tasks correctly and efficiently. Stack boxes and move materials using a pallet jack in a safe and controlled manner. Lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds as part of regular warehouse and assembly activities. Maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to a cooperative team environment where everyone helps where needed. Essential Skills Previous experience working in a warehouse environment. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy. Comfort working with hand tools and basic production equipment such as glue guns and drill presses. Basic understanding of general production and packaging processes. Reliability in adhering to scheduled breaks and shift hours. Attention to detail when labeling, assembling, and packing products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with pallet jacks or other basic material handling equipment. Familiarity with reading work orders and production documentation. Ability to work effectively in a small team and support coworkers as needed. Comfort in a laid-back, nonfast-paced warehouse setting. Why Work Here? The environment is described as laid back and not fast paced, while still focused on quality and reliability. Work takes place in a typical warehouse setting that includes some assembly, packaging, stacking boxes, and moving materials with a pallet jack. The company designs, manufactures, and distributes abrasive products such as carbide items, flap discs, resin fiber discs, hand pads, flap wheels, and related products, and emphasizes just-in-time delivery to keep inventory efficient. Dress is consistent with normal warehouse labor and assembly work, requiring practical attire suitable for hands-on tasks and safe equipment operation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garfield Heights, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
