You will work hands-on in a large manufacturing facility, using hand and power tools to help fabricate, assemble, and reinforce units while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. Responsibilities Build internal conduit structures according to specifications and production requirements. Oversee the concrete casting process for assigned units to help ensure concrete is poured correctly and consistently. Clean and prepare steel forms to specification so they are ready for accurate and efficient production. Cut and join PVC conduits while maintaining proper spacing and alignment within the units. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, cleaning, and assembly tasks. Lift and move materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods while keeping pace with production demands. Read and use a tape measure accurately to ensure correct dimensions and spacing in all builds. Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards and ensure units are built to specification. Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times in a busy, dusty, and active manufacturing environment. Work flexible shifts, including day or night options, and complete assigned builds and pours for the day. Assist with cleaning work areas and equipment after concrete pours and at the end of production runs. Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to keep production moving efficiently and meet daily output goals. Essential Skills Comfort working in a general labor role in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, potentially hundreds of times per day. Comfort standing, walking, and moving throughout a large facility for long periods. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and confidently as needed. Basic mechanical aptitude to understand how parts fit and function within assemblies. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measurements and spacing. Capacity to keep up with a fast-paced production environment and meet daily build requirements. Strong attention to detail to ensure units meet quality and specification standards. Willingness to work in a dusty, dirty, non-climate-controlled environment with active concrete pouring. Reliability in following safety rules and procedures in a large manufacturing facility. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous concrete or precast concrete labor experience preferred but not required. Experience in precast concrete production or related concrete work is a plus. Overhead crane experience is a plus. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Experience in general labor roles in manufacturing or construction is beneficial. Comfort working flexible shifts, including early morning day shifts or evening/night shifts. Ability to adapt to changing unit orders and production needs while maintaining quality. Why Work Here? The organization is in growth mode, giving employees the chance to join early and grow with the operation, and it maintains stability by avoiding seasonal layoffs in the winter. Work Environment The role is based in a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that is not climate-controlled, with a dusty and dirty environment due to active concrete pouring as trucks pull into the bays until new equipment is installed. Orientation typically occurs at 8:00 a.m., usually on a Monday after a group interview, with flexibility to move to another day if needed. Shift times are flexible based on employee performance and unit orders. Day shift options depend on the bay and start at either 4:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with shifts never exceeding 10 hours unless mandatory and always offering at least 8 hours if the employee wants it. Night shifts start no later than 8:00 p.m., begin Monday night, and run through early Saturday morning, ending once units are built, approved, poured, and cleaned, and also do not exceed 10 hours unless mandatory while offering at least 8 hours if desired.
