Material Handler Northwood, Ohio $20/hr
  • Paid Weekly Sunday
  • Thursday 4:30 pm
  • 1 am
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to support warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for safely moving raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift and other material-handling equipment. The ideal candidate has strong forklift, shipping, inventory, and warehouse experience, preferably within the metals industry. Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility.
  • Receive, stock, and organize products and supplies according to inventory requirements.
  • Pick, process, and pack customer orders accurately.
  • Load and unload trucks and verify that the correct materials are being shipped and received.
  • Perform shipping and warehouse functions as required.
  • Complete cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
  • Identify, hold, and segregate defective material.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.
  • May operate a Kaltenbach saw to cut orders as needed.
  • May use cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Inspect forklift equipment at the beginning of each shift and immediately report any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety, quality, ISO, and 6S requirements.
  • Assist in other areas of the operation as requested by the supervisor or team lead.
  • Assist with training other employees when required. Qualifications
  • 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably within the metals industry.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Previous shipping experience.
  • Strong and dependable attendance history.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and regularly bend, twist, squat, reach, and grasp.
Preferred:
  • Experience using handheld measuring tools.
  • Basic computer skills, including database and Microsoft Office programs.
