Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals for the position of General Labor with an immediate start. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to warehouse operations, logistics, and materials handling in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will perform a variety of manual tasks, operate heavy equipment, and support inventory management processes to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse functions. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols. Perform manual handling tasks including lifting, stacking, and organizing materials in accordance with safety standards. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and support inventory control. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping and receiving using RF scanners and order picker equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies using inventory management tools. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use at all times. Support warehouse operations including stocking, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and material handling activities. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment following safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency and meet operational deadlines. Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during stock movements. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and crane systems. Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, inventory management systems (including AS400 or similar), and logistics operations. Familiarity with safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail for accurate order picking & packing. Technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, inventory control software, and material handling equipment operation. Basic math skills necessary for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to shipping & receiving. Prior experience in warehouse supervision or logistics is advantageous but not required. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
