Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and move materials efficiently within the warehouse. Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software. Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy via RF scanners or barcode systems. Assist in stocking shelves, picking & packing orders for shipment, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall operational efficiency. Utilize technical tools such as AS400 systems and inventory management software for data entry and reporting. Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on OSHA standards and company safety policies. Support warehouse supervisor with tasks related to logistics planning, materials handling, and inventory audits. Experience Proven warehouse experience with a minimum of two years working in fast-paced distribution environments. Demonstrated proficiency operating material handling equipment including reach trucks, forklifts (including forklift certification), cherry pickers, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 platforms, and inventory management software. Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling. Experience with shipping & receiving processes including packaging procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to inventory counts and measurements. Previous experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is preferred but not required. Familiarity with logistics workflows including order picking & packing, load & unload procedures, and stock replenishment. Technical proficiency with warehouse operations technology tools such as barcode scanners or RF devices. Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail for accurate inventory control.
