$18.50 to $21/hr, based on experience Job Description A manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Materials Preparation Specialist will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and staging materials for production, shipping, installation, or customer orders. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Duties:
Accurately perform inventory handling, timely material delivery, and compliance with company safety and quality standards Receive, inspect incoming material and supplies for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to management Pick, pull, and prepare materials according to work orders, production schedules, or customer requirements Assemble, package, label, and stage materials for shipment or production use Maintain accurate inventory records through manual and/or computerized inventory systems Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, as required Load and unload trucks while ensuring materials are properly secured and documented Organize warehouse storage areas to max efficiency and maintain cleanliness Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards Collaborate with production, purchasing, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure material availability and workflow efficiency Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned
Job Requirements Qualifications:
Previous warehouse, inventory, material handling, or logistics experience is preferred Must have the ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, and inventory documentation Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems preferred Must be able to pay a high attention to detail while being organized and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels The ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed Must be able to routinely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday Dependable attendance and punctuality Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
