•100,000 annually Position Summary The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple hotel properties within Ascend Hotel Group. This position provides leadership, guidance, and accountability to General Managers while ensuring each property meets company expectations, financial objectives, guest service standards, and applicable brand requirements. The Regional Manager serves as the primary connection between property-level management and senior leadership and is responsible for maintaining consistent operational standards across the hotel portfolio. A key responsibility of this position is providing immediate management coverage when a General Manager resigns, is terminated, is on an extended absence, or when the position is otherwise vacant. During these situations, the Regional Manager will temporarily assume responsibility for the property, perform the necessary General Manager duties, and maintain hotel operations until a qualified replacement is hired, trained, and successfully transitioned into the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and overall performance of assigned hotel properties. Maintain regular communication with General Managers regarding hotel operations, staffing, guest service, financial performance, maintenance concerns, and property needs. Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and accountability to General Managers and property leadership teams. Conduct regular property visits to evaluate operations, cleanliness, service standards, staffing, maintenance, and overall property conditions. Monitor hotel revenue, operating expenses, labor costs, budgets, and overall financial performance. Review operational and financial reports and identify opportunities to improve performance, increase efficiency, and control expenses. Work with General Managers to ensure properties achieve established revenue, budget, operational, and guest satisfaction goals. Ensure properties comply with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable hotel brand standards. Maintain familiarity with the operational requirements and standards of the hotel brands represented within the company portfolio, including Hilton,Hampton Inn Marriott, Home2 Suites, Comfort Suites, and other applicable brands. Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online guest feedback, quality assurance requirements, and service recovery efforts. Assist General Managers with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary. Monitor staffing levels and work with property leadership to address staffing shortages and other workforce concerns. Assist properties in preparing for brand inspections, quality assurance evaluations, audits, and other required reviews. Identify operational or performance concerns and work with General Managers to develop and implement corrective action plans. Ensure required operational reports, financial information, staffing updates, and other documentation are completed accurately and submitted on time. Communicate significant operational, financial, staffing, maintenance, or guest-related concerns to the Chief Operating Officer. Collaborate with senior leadership on company-wide operational improvements, staffing initiatives, financial objectives, and special projects. Promote consistency, accountability, and effective communication across all assigned hotel properties. Maintain professional relationships with hotel employees, vendors, brand representatives, and other business partners. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership. General Manager Coverage and Management Transitions Assume temporary responsibility for the full day-to-day operations of a hotel when a General Manager resigns, is terminated, is on an extended absence, or when the General Manager position is otherwise vacant. Serve as the acting property leader during General Manager vacancies and perform the essential responsibilities normally assigned to the General Manager. Maintain oversight of front desk operations, housekeeping, maintenance, staffing, guest service, financial performance, payroll, reporting, and other operational responsibilities while providing temporary coverage. Ensure the hotel continues to meet company policies, operational expectations, guest service standards, and applicable brand requirements throughout the management transition. Address immediate operational, staffing, financial, maintenance, and guest-related concerns while serving as the acting property leader. Work with senior leadership and Human Resources to recruit, interview, and identify qualified candidates for vacant General Manager positions. Assist with the selection, onboarding, and training of newly hired General Managers. Provide the incoming General Manager with the necessary information regarding property operations, staffing, financial performance, outstanding issues, and company expectations. Continue providing direct oversight and operational support until the newly hired General Manager is sufficiently trained and senior leadership determines that the management transition is complete. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality management. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-management skills. Knowledge of hotel budgeting, financial statements, revenue management, labor costs, and expense control. Ability to review financial and operational information and identify areas requiring improvement. Ability to oversee multiple hotel properties and manage competing priorities effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to develop effective working relationships with General Managers, hotel employees, senior leadership, vendors, and brand representatives. Knowledge of hotel brand standards, quality assurance requirements, and guest service expectations. Ability to coach and develop hotel management teams. Strong conflict-resolution and performance-management skills. Ability to make sound operational decisions when immediate leadership action is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management, reporting, accounting, and operational systems. Ability and willingness to travel regularly between assigned hotel properties. Ability to adapt quickly and provide hands-on leadership when operational or management needs arise. Required Experience and Education Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel management experience preferred. Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, or in a similar hotel leadership position strongly preferred. Multi-property hotel management experience preferred. Experience with nationally recognized hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Choice Hotels preferred. Experience overseeing hotel operations, employees, budgets, financial performance, and guest service standards. Experience managing and developing hotel leadership teams preferred. Previous experience providing operational leadership during management transitions is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to travel regularly between multiple hotel properties. Ability to remain standing and walking for extended periods while conducting property visits and inspections. Ability to move throughout all areas of a hotel property as needed. Ability to use a computer and other standard office equipment for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions Full-time, exempt management position requiring regular travel between assigned hotel properties. Work is performed in hotel, office, and operational environments. Regular interaction with General Managers, hotel employees, guests, vendors, brand representatives, and senior leadership. Schedule flexibility is required based on business and operational needs. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required. Must be available to respond to urgent property, staffing, guest, or management matters when necessary. Temporary assignment to a specific hotel may be required when management coverage is needed. Annual Salary:
$85,000
•100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
