Full Job Description Position Summary:
Kalida Truck Equipment, Inc. is seeking a reliable and dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations by efficiently loading and unloading delivery trucks, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and assisting with parts/equipment retrieval for technicians. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading & Unloading:
Safely load and unload parts, equipment, and products from delivery trucks. Ensure proper handling and organization of items to prevent damage during transit.
Parts/Equipment Retrieval:
Assist technicians by retrieving necessary parts from the warehouse or inventory for jobs in the shop. Ensure parts are accurately identified and delivered in a timely manner.
Facility Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by performing routine cleaning duties, such as sweeping floors, removing trash, and organizing product and equipment.
Inventory Management:
Support the team in ensuring stock is properly labeled and stored. Assist with inventory and notify supervisors of low stock levels or discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) in compliance with safety regulations. Assisting with
Shipments:
Assist in preparing outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and verifying orders for accuracy.
General Support:
Provide general assistance to the team as needed, including helping with projects, tool organization, and other operational tasks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and mowers (training will be provided). Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Basic knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
