Job Description
Job Overview Our Food Distribution center clients is seeking an experienced warehouse auditor. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with inventory management protocols and safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse management and demonstrate proficiency in various warehouse equipment operations. Duties Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and warehouse processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and identify discrepancies. Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to implement best practices for materials handling, shipping, and receiving. Perform detailed inspections of packaging and order fulfillment processes to maintain quality control. Assist in training staff on proper inventory control procedures and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations. Analyze audit findings and prepare comprehensive reports to recommend improvements in operational efficiency. Support the loading and unloading of goods while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting tasks. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on auditing or inventory management. Experience with RF scanners for tracking inventory movements effectively. Ability to operate, forklifts, order pickers, and other heavy machinery safely. Knowledge of packaging standards and order picking processes within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
