Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our fast-paced distribution center team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, materials handling, and equipment operation. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse productivity. Responsibilities Operate various heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stock products safely and efficiently Manage inventory using warehouse management software and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately and perform regular inventory counts Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring timely order fulfillment Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and packaging materials while following safety protocols and OSHA regulations Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking supplies properly and adhering to safety regulations including PPE use Support warehouse supervision by following established procedures for inventory control, safety compliance, and operational efficiency Experience Proven experience working in warehouse distribution or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of warehouse operations Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and RF scanners Familiarity with inventory management systems like AS400 or similar warehouse management software Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use during all warehouse activities Prior warehouse supervisor or team lead experience is advantageous but not required; leadership skills are valued Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, measurements, and order processing Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be beneficial for understanding heavy equipment operation and maintenance Join us in a role where your skills make a tangible impact!
