When the equipment is returned, this position will inspect for damage, check fuel, perform any maintenance necessary within skillset, pressure wash and confirm that equipment is in rent ready condition. The Warehouse Person will greet customers in a friendly and helpful way and demonstrate how to use the equipment rented when necessary. The Warehouse Person will also check incoming freight and restock shelves & store where instructed as well as assist the Lead Person in a variety of tasks. When time allows, the Warehouse Person will perform light cleaning such as sweeping, emptying the garbage, cleaning the restroom, etc. This person must be very safety conscience due to the hazards associated with this position. Regular attendance is required. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Prepare equipment loads for delivery; load and unload equipment for customer. Check incoming freight to packing slip. Restock shelves/store product where instructed. When rented items are returned, receive and pressure wash, add fuel and ensure equipment is in rent ready condition. Housekeeping such as sweeping, mopping, wiping, taking out the trash, etc. Watch for safety hazards and correct immediately. This position requires a high level of energy as work is performed in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to move quickly in a safe and efficient manner to accomplish business goals. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Knowledge of rental and sales equipment and supplies we carry (training provided). Knowledge of equipment and safe operation (training provided). Knowledge of Hooker Creek's expectations for quality, professional, and service orientation (training provided) Knowledge of Hooker Creek's policies practices and procedures (training provided). Skills to use rental equipment properly (training provided). Skilled in professional verbal communication, including telephone etiquette. Ability to think and move quickly and react properly when unexpected happens; continually be aware of surroundings and hazards as well as response required. Ability to display professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and public. Ability to perform in a fast paced environment in an efficient manner. Ability to lift 80 pounds.
Education and Experience Required:
Experience with customer service and equipment preferred. Mechanical aptitude and curiosity or knowledge about equipment, tools and small engines also ideal. On the job training is provided. Acceptable DMV record preferred for occasional delivery of equipment.

Excellent customer service and communication required to ensure that customer needs are being met and that a satisfactory experience is had. Taking initiative and working effectively at loading, unloading, and washing equipment is key to our rental business success. Top quality professionalism and communication is required. Problems must be resolved quickly and professionally.
