•Apollo, PA Position Summary We are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Laborer to join our woodworking manufacturing team. This position will support daily production by operating woodworking equipment, handling materials, assembling and preparing wood products, inspecting work for quality, and assisting in various areas of the shop as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Experience in woodworking or manufacturing is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Job Responsibilities Operate woodworking machinery and production equipment safely and efficiently after proper training. Read and accurately use a tape measure, drawings, work orders, and production paperwork. Perform measuring, cutting, sanding, assembly, finishing, packaging, and other production tasks as assigned. Inspect finished and in-process work to ensure it meets company quality standards. Follow work instructions, production schedules, and established procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly handle and move lumber, plywood, finished components, and other materials. Use basic math skills to make measurements and verify dimensions. Identify quality issues, damaged materials, or production problems and report them to the appropriate supervisor. Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Assist other departments and employees when needed to maintain production flow. Learn and perform multiple jobs throughout the manufacturing process. Follow all company safety rules and procedures. Take on additional responsibilities and duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Previous woodworking, manufacturing, construction, or production experience is a plus. Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. Comfortable learning and operating woodworking machinery. Good basic math and measurement skills. Ability to read and understand work orders, paperwork, and instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and dependable work habits. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to learn new processes and equipment. Ability to follow directions and safety procedures. Computer experience is a plus. Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
