Job Description
Job responsibilities include: Yard Check Perform maintenance inspections to trailers according to PGT and DOT standards Document, take pictures, and report damages to Company trailers and loads. Will ensure Claim Process is followed Will oversee the reconciliation of PGT equipment (coil racks, lumbers, rubbers, tarps, etc.) Will manage securement inventory (physically and systematically) for Maintenance Responsible for making sure that loads in the yard are completely covered. Tarps are to be secured to the trailer to avoid them from falling off the commodity. Assist drivers during the seating process. Weekly forklift check sheets Checking/maintaining all used securement devices. Ensure yard is free of snow and ice (seasonal) Weekly cycle counts. Walk around and do safety audits on drivers ex: making sure they are securing the load correctly before departing Company yard. Assist driver in tarping load if necessary. Performs additional duties as assigned by Manangement Maintains a clean and safe work area inside the yard (tarps and trash) Abide by all company policies and procedures We operate a clean, safe environment and offer a competitive hourly rate with benefits and a matching 401k plan.
