Material Handler

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect for damages. Compare packing slips with purchase orders to ensure accuracy. Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Store materials in designated locations using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, hand truck). Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper labeling of materials. Implement and adhere to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices. Use of scanners and computers to communicate production order status Transport materials to production areas or other designated locations as needed. Pick and pack orders for shipment or internal distribution. Load and unload trucks and other vehicles. Provide feedback for process improvement opportunities that would enhance safety, productivity, or efficiency. Maintain and improve area cleanliness to ensure a clean and safe work environment. Ability to flex into other work areas as needed Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
