Job Description
Summary:
The Millwork Shop and Yard Worker employee is instrumental in our ability to service our customer. This person is responsible for the set-up and operation of hand tools and machinery to create/manipulate products as per the production schedule. This employee will also coordinate and perform duties relating to the delivery and pick-up of orders and to the organization of the yard.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include the following:- Mill or fabricate doors and frames.
- Safely operate machinery including table saws, miter saws, routers, and nail guns
- Assist delivery driver when needed to load material safely and securely to ensure product is delivered as expected.
- Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time
- Produce quality products to meet and exceed customer's expectations
- Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
- Understand basic inventory, warehousing and stocking procedures
- Recognize and understand product numbers and alpha/numeric codes
- Pull, fill, pack, set up, and stage orders for delivery or pickup
- Receive shipments, log into inventory, maintain inventory through audits
- Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
- Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks in compliance to OSHA requirements, and report discrepancies to supervisor
- Perform duties with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe, secure, and operating efficiently
- Present a neat and professional image
Seasonal Requirement:
Assist with snow removal- Complete other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent English Perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and proficiency in reading measuring devices)Physical Demands:
- Lift, carry, reach, push, pull or otherwise maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 100 lbs.)
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for duration of work hours
- Work overtime as needed and scheduled by management
- Have effective listening, verbal and written communication skills This position will have employees exposed to elements including heat and cold as well as dust, fumes and noise.
