Warehouse Worker Job Description This role provides shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment within a busy warehouse environment. You will handle products accurately and efficiently, support daily distribution operations, and ensure customers receive the correct items within the requested timeframes. You must be comfortable working at heights, as you will be trained to operate a cherry picker forklift and other powered industrial trucks. Responsibilities Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements. Ensure a high level of quality and accuracy so customers receive the correct products within the requested time. Receive materials and finished goods on a daily basis and verify the quality, type, and quantity of materials received. Confirm that all incoming shipments include the appropriate documentation, such as packing lists. Operate distribution equipment, including powered industrial trucks and reach trucks, at various heights after completing required training. Work effectively in warehouse areas with varying temperatures, including room temperature, cold rooms, and freezer rooms. Follow all distribution and quality standards, including Control of Documents and Quality Policy requirements. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and instructions, and consistently meet operational schedules. Use basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software to support daily warehouse functions. Communicate effectively with internal team members and provide strong customer service to support smooth operations. Recognize deviations from routine practices and escalate issues appropriately to maintain quality and safety. Arrive on time, maintain strong attendance, and be ready to start work promptly each day. Complete equipment training through one-on-one instruction, on-the-job training, and standard training protocols. Handle packaged hazardous materials safely and in accordance with established procedures. Perform highly repetitive tasks while maintaining focus, accuracy, and adherence to safety guidelines. Work flexible schedules, shifts, and overtime as needed, with advance notice of shift changes. Occasionally travel locally as required to support warehouse and distribution operations. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. 02 years of related warehouse or logistics experience. Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, including the capability to work at various heights. Comfort working at heights and willingness to be trained on cherry picker forklift equipment. Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software. Ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, and instructions. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet schedules and deadlines. Good communication and customer service skills for interaction with internal personnel. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and regularly push, pull, walk, stand, reach, and climb. Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including room temperature, cold-room, and freezer-room conditions. Willingness and availability to work any shift with advance notice of shift changes and to work overtime as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Some experience in logistics within a life science environment is preferred. Experience as a material handler or forklift/power industrial vehicle operator is beneficial. Experience operating reach trucks is an advantage. Ability to understand and interpret team metrics to support performance and continuous improvement. Comfort handling packaged hazardous materials in accordance with safety procedures. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures, including room temperature (5986°F), cold-room (3646°F), and freezer-room (4 to 23°F). Work is highly repetitive and involves continuous walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs, with routine pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs and regular climbing. You may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs. The noise level ranges from moderate to high, and you may handle packaged hazardous materials following safety guidelines. You will use powered industrial trucks, reach trucks, cherry picker forklifts, ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software as part of daily operations. Schedules may vary, and you must be available to work different shifts, including potential early start times, with advance notice of shift changes and overtime as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Greencastle, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
