Reports To:
Shop Supervisor Position Summary The Site Material and Logistics Team Member is responsible for safely moving, staging, storing, delivering, and tracking materials throughout the shop and field operations. This role supports service operations by ensuring materials, components, tools, and supplies are available when needed, accurately picked according to material lists, and properly loaded onto company vehicles or delivered to job sites. The position also ensures returned materials are properly accounted for, processed, and restocked. Maintaining an organized work environment while adhering to company safety and quality standards is essential. Material Handling and Logistics Collect material based on picking lists, ensure accuracy and package. Ensure accurate loading of trucks based on picking lists. Deliver materials, parts, tools, and supplies to designated job sites, ensuring all requested items are accurately delivered, documented, and accounted for. Unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles and account for material and equipment for restock. Coordinate swift return of any job site material that is in excess. Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of materials. Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing slips, and related paperwork. Monitor delivery schedules and communicate shipment status to internal stakeholders. Track inventory movements in inventory management systems. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged freight, and inventory variances. Organize and maintain inventory storage locations, staging areas, and shop floor material flow. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely. Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate company vehicles safely and maintain delivery records as required. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse, fabrication, or shop environment preferred. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment or obtain certification. Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and material lists. Very strong organizational and communication skills. Customer service and professionalism. Problem-solving and adaptability. Preferred Forklift certification Valid driver's license required; CDL Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more with assistance or lifting equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach throughout the shift. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Working Conditions Manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, or industrial shop environment. Exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet business needs. Pay:
$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
