Dorman Products Job Summary The Transportation Associate is responsible for the transportation of materials, vehicle operation/inspection, and other duties. Primary Duties
Transporting materials to and from facilities
Load/unload truck
Inspect truck and follow all safety protocols for vehicle inspection
Learn & follow detailed work instructions Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below Operate forklift to load and unload parts off trucks Use tow motor and identify core locations
Pulls pick ticket orders
Identify and sort incoming product and takes bins from sorting stations and scans to appropriate locations Store parts in designated location Pull parts needed for production and ship to main plant Enter data into and review information in CMS as needed Participate in various improvement activities Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Valid PA Driver's License
Previous experience driving a box truck
Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers Ability to work as a team member Proficient in CMS
Must be able to obtain forklift license Must have basic computer/data entry skills Ability to stand all day, stoop & bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Must have clean driving record for past three years & pass DOT drug screen if assigned to drive box truck Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences
Working Conditions:
Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during Summer months.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Previous warehouse experience required
