Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, and personal vehicles for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and organize materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts. Execute delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication, ensuring timely arrivals at customer locations. Assist with warehouse operations including inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Properly load and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit, practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques. Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods professionally, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience. Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling, weight handling in the workplace, and safe driving practices to promote a secure environment for yourself and colleagues. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or warehouse worker, with familiarity in delivery driving and warehouse operations. Experience operating box trucks, commercial trucks with manual transmission, or vans preferred. Knowledge of route planning, traffic regulations, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices essential for success in this role. Ability to handle manual tasks such as moving heavy loads using material handling equipment like pallet jacks or carts. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices or in person during deliveries. Prior experience adhering to safety standards related to weight handling in the workplace and operating material handling equipment is highly desirable.
