DAY ONE Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas. Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety standards while operating heavy machinery. Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper handling and storage of products. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safe lifting techniques are used at all times. Skills Proficient in operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, with a strong understanding of material handling processes. Familiarity with distribution center operations and logistics is preferred. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus. Experience with order picking using RF scanners is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse environments. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain an efficient workspace.
