Job Title:
Material Handler Job Description This role combines material handling with basic computer work, supporting production operations by safely moving finished products, accurately tracking inventory, and using warehouse technology to ensure efficient shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities Load and unload finished products safely and efficiently using a sit-down forklift. Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and products within the manufacturing facility. Use an RF scanner to track inventory, scan products, and maintain accurate records of materials handled. Perform basic computer tasks to update inventory systems, shipping documentation, and production records. Support picking and production activities by staging, organizing, and replenishing materials as needed. Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures within the manufacturing environment. Perform general labor tasks related to material handling, inventory control, and warehouse support as assigned. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift. Proficient computer skills for basic data entry and system navigation. Experience loading and unloading products in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Ability to efficiently use an RF scanner for inventory and product tracking. Previous manufacturing experience. Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory, or general warehouse operations. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience in general labor or warehouse support roles. Comfort working with inventory systems and scanning technology. Ability to work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams.
